This episode, hosted by Ian Truscott, Founding Editor of Rockstar CMO, features a backstage CMO story about selling cigarettes, an interview with Dr. Christine Bailey, CMO of Valitor, and finishes with a cocktail in the company of content marketing guru Robert Rose.
Ian dips into the virtual pages of Rockstar CMO to suggest something you might like and this week he plucks out the backstage interview with Oliver Pilgerstorfer, CMO of IFS. How he figured out the 4P’s of marketing in the school playground, it’s a great story.
The interview segment is with Dr. Christine Bailey, CMO, and Managing Director, SMB UK & Ireland, for Valitor, an international payment solutions company. Christine is familiar to the readers of Rockstar CMO, as she regularly shares her experience in our Green Room series.
Based in the UK, Christine has extensive experience in B2B marketing in technology/payments, including leading European marketing functions for Hewlett-Packard and Cisco Systems, as well as smaller companies. A respected thought-leader and motivational speaker with a TEDx Talk ‘Unconventional Career Advice’, she has been voted #1 Woman in Tech by B2B Marketing and #3 female influencer in UK B2B Marketing by Onalytica. She has a doctorate (DBA) in customer insight from Cranfield School of Management and serves on several advisory boards.
Ian and Christine talk about her career, running her team during the pandemic, her upcoming book and what it takes to do a marketing doctorate.
And finally, we kick off the weekend with The Chief Troublemaker at The Content Advisory, Robert Rose, for a cocktail, and one thought to ponder as we wind down from the working week.
Enjoy!
